KonetPay on the CBN register: what the listing shows and what it does not

Konetpay Nigeria Limited appears on the Central Bank of Nigeria's Payment Service Providers register under two authorisation categories. A short note on what that means and what it does not.

Konetpay Nigeria Limited is listed by the Central Bank of Nigeria as an authorised Payment Solution Service Provider (PSSP) and Payment Terminal Services Provider (PTSP). The listing is on the CBN's Payment Service Providers register, which was checked on 5 October 2026.

What the register shows

The register lists the company under two separate authorisation categories: PSSP Authorisation, at entry 59 in that section, and PTSP Authorisation, at entry 31 in its own section. Entry numbers can change as the register is updated.

What it does not show

The listing covers those two categories. On its own it does not describe any other kind of authorisation, and this note does not infer one. It is a statement about the company's regulatory listing, not about any particular merchant account or about how a payment is processed.

Reading it alongside the product

The Central Bank of Nigeria is KonetPay's regulator, not a commercial partner. KonetPay describes its own onboarding as starting in test mode, with live credentials issued after a compliance review. The register listing does not change that process.
